Visit Envigado, a town part of the Metropolitan Area of Medellín, famous for keeping paisa traditions alive through its typical architecture and gastronomy, and have a taste of tradition from various local recipes.
We will start picking you up at your hotel to take you to El Parque de Envigado (Envigado's Park) Where you will be able to admire Santa Gertrudis Parish, and the life around the park. We will then head to our first gastronomic stop to taste Buñuelos, Empanadas, or Pan de Yucas. We will then move North to stop at a place where different types of arepas are made. You will be able to see how corn is transformed into different products and taste them completely fresh.
We will walk a few steps to taste the sweet side of traditional recipes in two stops. The first being Salpicon, a fruity refreshing beverage that contains tropical fruits, and the second the famous Obleas, a large slim cookie filled with cheese, arequipe (a milk based sweet cream), and marmalade. After this stop, we will walk few blocks East for the final and most famous paisa dish: Bandeja Paisa. This generous dish is a reflection of paisas' attention, warm hospitality, and welcoming values, that are evidence of their interest in giving the best to their visitors. Finally, after a cup of coffee, we will return you to your hotel.
Changes on the tour may occur due to external factors. These changes will be notified to you with anticipation.
