We will pick you up at your hotel at 9:00 am to start with a 4-hour tour through this exciting city. Our first stop will be at Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, the place where our founding father Simón Bolivar died the 17th of December of 1830. This place is not only a remanent of the XVII century, but also has an enormous diversity of native trees, stunning gardens, and impressive artwork.
We will make a short stop at Eduardo Santos Soccer Stadium, where you will find a sculpture of world-famous player Carlos “'El Pibe'” Valderrama before moving to the Historical Center of Santa Marta. We will walk through streets full of history, architectural jewels, parks and colonial plazas, and enter Santa Marta's Cathedral, the first church built in South America. Finally, at the Gold Museum, you will be able to appreciate the richness of the Tayrona culture, their beliefs, myths, and crafts.
Before returning you to your hotel we will take you to Taganga's Lookout where you will have an excellent view of Taganga and the Caribbean Sea.
