At Impulse, we don’t see impact as a separate department or a charitable add-on. We see impact as a core element of our business model and what makes Impulse unique is the natural result of curiosity meeting opportunity. Through our work, we fuel the Colombian Renaissance—connecting global travelers with the changemakers, creative leaders, guardians of tradition, and peacebuilders who are redefining our country’s future.

Our Values: A philosophy of transformation and resiliency.

Impulse is a collective of people who share values and a vision about tourism. Our passion for Colombia drives us to connect travelers with the country’s essence, generating significant change in communities and the environment.

  • Put Your Heart Into It: Every experience is designed with intention and purpose, transforming a trip into a meaningful moment that leaves a mark.
  • People First: We prioritize human connections above empty sightseeing. We believe the beauty of hospitality lies in human encounters. That’s why we say “people are the real destinations”.
  • Change Is Evolution: We embrace transformation and constant growth, always seeking to innovate for tourism that positively impacts.
  • Work With Fire, Stay Cool: We lead with passion and conviction, always maintaining humility and joy in every adventure we create.

This is how we measure our impact

Impulse is a for-profit business with purpose at our core. From day one, we’ve believed that tourism should create positive change. Every experience we design supports local communities, promotes cultural preservation, and contributes to a more inclusive and regenerative travel industry in Colombia. These metrics reflect how Impulse and all our local partners, are spinning the wheels of positive transformation in Colombia.

We do it with HEART: Our experience development framework.

At Impulse, we see travel as a powerful tool for connection, learning, and transformation. But for tourism to be truly sustainable and equitable, it must be designed with intention. Our HEART framework makes that intention actionable. It guides how we design experiences—placing value not just on what travelers see, but on how those experiences are created, who benefits from them, and what long-term impact they leave behind.

H: Human Centered

Humans interactions are at the core of our products. "People are real destinations".

E: Economic Opportunities

The income generated for communities creates incentives to evolve from illicit and criminal economies to legal and dignified job opportunities.

A: Authentic

We define authenticity as finding the beauty of local culture and life as they are, rather than trying to manipulate them to meet the expectations of visitors. This vision empowers locals and creates more meaningful encounters.

R: Regenerative Narratives

We are inspired by people with real stories of transformation that convey realistic and hopeful messages about Colombia. Our narratives connect with the positive and leave behind the negative.

T: Top-Notch

Top experiences designed and operated with quality. We prototype, improve and update them to guarantee the best experience.
