Our driver Gustavo met us at our hotel and patiently drove us from stop to stop.  Our guides Maria Jose and Gigio were excellent and made the day really special.  From breakfast at the Paloquemao market , to the Gold Museum, walking the historic centre and finally the unexpected and incredible Breaking Borders Tour.. it was all a highlight. I had a private tour with Gigio on my first day in Bogotá. What a great food tour and introduction into the city! The food was amazing!!! While walking through many fantastic and interesting neighborhoods, I learned all kinds of history about both the city of Bogotá and the country of Columbia. He spent the time to explain the different regions of Columbia and what to expect depending on the kind of tourist getaway that we would want in the future (ex: jungle eco lodge, beach resort, animal safari, or archaeological ruins). She took us to the key places: the Botero Museum, the Gold Museum, the Plaza Mayor, the Chorro de Quevedo fountain, Monserrate... very interesting! I especially appreciated Marta's knowledge of the city and its history, and her ability to adapt to our pace, always looking out for the group! Highly recommended!

An absorbing and fascinating tour to learn the history of life amongst local gangs . Meeting and listening to honest accounts of how life was and how this group have worked to turn their lives around. It is such a positive story to hear how the group have created something very special . My family of 6 spent 10 incredible days in Colombia. Impulse Travel made our vacation the best of my life. We have 4 girls, 12, 10, 8, and 6. All said the vacation was a 10 out of 10.

Every tour we did with Impulse felt customized to us. The tour guides were all engaging, patient, and so incredibly knowledgeable.

All of the experiences were fantastic. Bogota fruit and flower market blew our minds! The Breaking Borders tour made an indelible mark in our minds for a lifetime. The context and patience of our Museo Del Oro tour guide Gabriella was incredible as she patiently and engagingly fielded hundreds of questions from our 8 and 10 year olds. The tour of the Canderlaria was an amazing glimpse of the oldest part of Bogota and the arts and crafts. The mangrove tour in Cartagena kept our children fully emersed in learning. Then La Boquilla drum lessons were an absolute hit with the kids.

If I had spent a year researching I would have never come up with an itinerary so perfect. I cannot recommend Impulse any higher.

I highly recommend this tour. Of all the travel experiences I’ve had this one was so unique and lovely that I will tell everyone I know about it. We have 4 kids, 12, 10, 8, and 6. It is hard to keep them engaged and involved. We did not have this problem on the fruit tour. Both our guides were incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and intuitive with kids. From start to finish I watched my sometimes picky kids explore the market, marvel at the variety. Then when it came time for the main course it was incredible to watch them try everything on the plate. They absolutely loved it. 10 out of ten, A+++

Impulse showed us places in Colombia that we would not have known otherwise. The staff is incredibly professional and you can tell they love what they do. Great food, welcoming host, sparkling clean accommodation. And the fire lit for you in the evening. The lodge is situated in beautiful garden and there is a natural pool in the jungle on the estate. We were greeted by a nice service host Tatiana when we first got out of the baggage room, and walked us to meet the driver. I had a fantastic private tour of the Candelaria District including stops at a local market, an emerald store and the Botero and Gold Museums. My guide, Martha Jamoco, spoke excellent English and shared a wealth of information about the history and culture of Colombia. Our driver, Gustavo, was always on time at our selected pick up locations and he picked me up and took me back to my hotel next to the airport. I highly recommend this tour!

Took the Taste of Change Tour and spent a wonderful few hours with Gigio who gave a great insight into Colombia’s history, the issues it is still having to deal with and how Impulse Travel is partnering with food producers, artisans and entrepreneurs to provide a positive and socially just way forward for Colombians. I really appreciated being able to discuss a wide range of topics and to ask lots of questions which Gigio answered very patiently and with obvious passion for his country. We spent our first day in Bogota with Gigio from Impulse and it was such a pleasure! He was so knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. We had mentioned a few places we wanted to go that weren’t on the original tour and he was able to weave them in seamlessly. He gave us plenty of recommendations for the rest of our stay that were all wonderful in spots we would not have found without him!
