Bogotá is well known as South America's bike capital and at the same time is a renown city in terms of urban art. With this tour you will be able to know both, joined by a knowledgeable guide that will tie things up with the stories that go beyond the images. Understand the important role of street art for building the city's identity, narrating the unoficial stories and questioning the status quo.
You will start by meeting our guide and visiting the hotspots of one of Bogotá’s most renown neighborhoods; Chapinero. In these places you will learn about important artists in the local scene as well as the different techniques used for art in public space.
You will continue heading south by visiting Teusaquillo neighborhood. A great neighborhood for bike riding with holds some of the hidden gems of local street art.
Finally, you will ride downtown to stop at the city’s most iconic walls. Plenty of these images are numerously photographed by travelers, but few of these visitors are able to connect the image with the stories that make the whole pieces fit. Enjoy the colors of massive artworks and the impressive technique and skill of their creators, while you connect the image with the stories and the socio-political history that gives a profound meaning to it all.
