Itinerary
You will be picked up at your hotel to start with a tour through this exciting city. Your first stop will be at Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, the place where Simón Bolívar died on December 17th of 1830. This place is a historic building of the XVII century with an enormous diversity of native trees, stunning gardens, and impressive artwork.
You will make a short stop at Eduardo Santos Soccer Stadium, where you will find a sculpture of world-famous player Carlos “'El Pibe'” Valderrama before moving to the Historic Center of Santa Marta. You will walk through streets full of history, architectural jewels, parks, and colonial plazas, and enter the Santa Marta's Cathedral, the first church built in South America. Finally, at the Gold Museum, you will be able to appreciate the richness of the Tayrona culture, their beliefs, myths, and crafts.
Before returning you to your hotel, you will go to Taganga's Lookout where you will have an excellent view of Taganga and the Caribbean Sea.
