"Escape Bogotá city and go on a horseback riding tour through the Andean Highlands and explore its flora and fauna with a local farmer"
Be amazed by riding on a Colombian Creole horse along the fauna, flora, rivers, creeks, and lakes that make the Andean highland a perfect scenario for a thrilling day surrounded by nature.
On the Highlands Horseback Riding Bogota Tour, you will be driven to a rural location 40 minutes to the southeast of the capital. There, a local cowboy will be expecting you with tame - yet powerful - horses ready for the adventure. After some instructions and advice, you will start the ride. Going up to 3200 msnm with great climatic diversity due to the different elevations of the mountain. After an hour ride, you will reach a fantastic lookout point from where you will be able to see the Monserrate Hill, and further even Bogotá off in the distance.
After a break (for stretching your legs and having a snack), you will start your way back to the ranch via another path, making a loop.
Once back to the camp, a hot homemade meal, prepared using fresh, local ingredients from the garden, will be waiting for you. After lunch and an adventurous day, you’ll return to the city, back to your hotel or preferred destination.
If no one in your group speaks Spanish, the suggestion is hiring a bilingual guide for this tour (an additional charge applies). If lunch is not available at the farm, it will be replaced with a stop for lunch at La Candelaria. This activity does not require previous experience. Please read the terms and conditions page before booking.
Changes on the tour may occur due to external factors. These changes will be notified to you with anticipation.
